Messy Mondays: Carried Away
Welcome to another Messy Monday! Today I will be sharing a simple and quick birthday card with you. It was pretty easy to make, so I might make a few more to have on hand! Birthday cards are always the one type of card I can use more of in my stash.
First, I stamped out the large balloon and the little boy from Mama Elephant Carried Away stamp set with Ranger Archival Black ink (waterproof). This set is a great companion to their original Up and Away set, and the whimsical feel of the balloon makes me so happy! I used some distress inks to blend on color onto the balloon and then used my clear wink of stella to add some sparkle. Next, I colored in the little boy using some waterbased markers and then fussy cut both images out.
For my focal panel, I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the largest rectangle from Lawn Fawn's small stitched rectangle set. I used Distress inks in Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass to make some splatters and then stamped on the sentiment and balloon string. I adhered this to a blue piece of cardstock and then stuck this onto a light blue A2 card base. To finish up the card, I used foam squares to stick on the little ball and the balloon and it was done!
Hope you enjoyed! I will be entering this into SSS Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.
Happy Crafting!
