Messy Mondays: CAS Wedding Card

Welcome to another Messy Monday! Although it's technically Tuesday now....can we pretend this post went up yesterday instead of me passing out before editing it? Today I will be sharing with you a clean and simple card I made for a wedding I attending on Saturday. It was such job to see two friends make such a meaningful commitment to each other - warms my heart.

For this card, I started out with my white A2 card base instead of a piece of cardstock like I normally do. I used Shaded Lilac distress ink from Tim Holtz to directly blend on a circle on the bottom right of my card. Next, I used Wilted Violet distress ink and smushed some onto my clear block so I could flicked on some splatters. This ended up working out perfectly with the colors of the flowers at the wedding!

While I set it aside to dry, I started to work on my other card elements. One of my most favorite dies is the 'Heart of Gold' by Neat and Tangled. I thought it was quite appropriate to use for this card, so I used my precision base cutting plate to die cut this out of some adhesive gold glitter paper. Everything cut nicely and all I had to do was to poke all the pieces out. This is a super intricate die cut, so I was extremely happy that it was self adhesive and I did not have to add any adhesive on myself. After my card base was dry, I stuck the heart down on an angle and loved the way it looked.

For my sentiment, I used vellum and embossed a sentiment on and adhered it down. Finally, for my focal images, I needed something simple and easy, so I took out my Pandamonium stamp set from Mama Elephant. I stamped and fussy cut out the two pandas that were kissing and then added them with foam squares onto the card to complete the look.

Hope you enjoyed! I will be entering this card into the SSS Wednesday Challenge: Clean and Simple.
Happy Crafting.
