Messy Mondays: Sharing Handmade Kindness
Welcome back to another Messy Monday! Today not only kicks off the first Monday in November, but also the start of Jennifer Mcguire's new share handmade kindness challenge. I love this challenge because it encapsulates what cardmaking means to me. Sharing is caring!
For this challenge, I made a fun card for my friend for her birthday, but the sentiment used here can be given as an encouragement card, graduation card etc... This sentiment can basically be used for any celebration or occasion! I embossed this sentiment in white on black cardstock.
The sentiment and the images from this set are from Mama Elephant's newest release called Little Edibles. There are so many little food images from this set, so I decided to make a background with them. Fortunately, I have a MISTI, so after laying it all out on my piece of paper, I was able to pick it all up and stamp it all at once.
After the images were stamped, I used the medium sized ink blotch from Avery Elle Brushed set to 'color' in the images. This was easy, quick, and fun to do with orange, blue, and grey inks. To finish off the card, I stamped, copic colored, and fussy cut out the little birthday cake and popped it up with a foam square. After adhering this to a blue piece of cardstock and a white A2 card base, it was done.
Hope you enjoyed this fun card. In addition to entering Jennifer's challenge, I will also be entering this into CTD #366.
Happy Crafting.
